The Grand Canyon State is filled with opportunities for CDL holders who have obtained the Passenger "P" Endorsement. If you plan to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to transport 16 or more occupants (including the driver), you’ll need a Passenger "P" endorsement. Once you obtain your CDL Passenger Endorsement, you can begin moving people through Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, college towns, resort areas, retirement communities, tribal lands, in and out of airports, and more. You can take on charter routes, church trips, tour operations, and school transportation (with the added School Bus "S" endorsement).
In addition to passing the P Endorsement exam, you’ll need to pass the skills test in a representative vehicle. If you plan to drive a CMV equipped with air brakes, you must pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and a skills test in a vehicle with air brakes (if you have not already done so). Doing so removes the restriction on your CDL. That sounds like a lot, and it is. But don’t worry. Our Arizona MVD CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests remove the fluff and present tested material using the same multiple-choice structure as the official exam. You’ll also become completely familiar with the sometimes-tricky wording used on the official exam. With our practice tests, one testing attempt is all you’ll need to pass the official exam.
The P endorsement knowledge exam tests pre-trip and post-trip inspections and your overall understanding of your vehicle and passenger safety throughout the trip. You are expected to know how to inspect the service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the inside of the bus, where aisles and stairwells must be clear, handholds and railings must be secure, signaling devices must work, seats must be fastened safely, and emergency exit signs, handles, doors, windows, and roof hatches must be examined. You’ll also need to know the protocol for railroad crossings and drawbridge approaches. As daunting as that sounds, our practice tests are your key to passing the endorsement exam. A lot is expected of you when the lives of so many passengers are in your hands, and our AI-powered, interactive practice tests ensure you have the necessary testing material prepared. For a School Bus endorsement, you’ll need to obtain the School Bus "S" Endorsement as well as the P endorsement. We have practice tests for that as well: https://driving-tests.org/arizona/az-cdl-school-bus-practice-test/.
