- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
Want to drive combination vehicles in Arkansas? You must pass the Combination Vehicles Knowledge Test as well as the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) skills test in a combination vehicle and complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) from a provider listed in the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. The skills test has three parts: a vehicle inspection, a basic vehicle control test, and an on-road driving test. Note that before taking the skills test, you must hold a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) for at least 14 days.
The official Knowledge Test covers safe driving practices for combination vehicles, preventing trailer skids and jackknives, air brakes in combination vehicles (if applicable), proper coupling and uncoupling procedures, and vehicle inspection requirements. It includes 20 multiple-choice questions, and you must score at least 80% (16 correct answers) to pass. If you do not pass, Arkansas requires at least one business day before you are allowed to retest, and an additional fee may apply. Our experts have created a series of practice tests to ensure you pass on your first attempt!
Our Arkansas CDL practice tests mirror the real exam format and include instant feedback on all responses. This method has been scientifically proven to speed learning and enhance retention. Furthermore, we have multiple practice tests to prepare you for the official exam. Once you’ve got this one in great shape, try another one here: https://driving-tests.org/arkansas/ar-cdl-combination-test/.
Passing the skills test and the knowledge test and obtaining your Class A CDL expands your career opportunities in Arkansas’s transportation and logistics industries. These sectors are critical to the state’s agriculture, manufacturing, and regional freight movement. Major highways include Interstates 30, 40, 49, and 55 and link Arkansas with national distribution hubs. Employers like FedEx Freight, J.B. Hunt, and Tyson Foods depend on qualified Class A CDL drivers. With such high demand, we want to make sure you have all the tools needed to speed your learning process and get you licensed to fulfill these needs.
Most combination vehicles use air brakes, so passing the Air Brakes Knowledge Test is essential to avoid an “L” or “Z” restriction on your license. We have you covered in this respect as well with our series of Air Brakes Practice Tests: https://driving-tests.org/arkansas/ar-cdl-air-brake-practice-test/. Also, check out our Arkansas endorsement practice tests like the highly lucrative Hazardous Materials endorsement series: https://driving-tests.org/arkansas/ar-cdl-hazmat-practice-test/. Each additional endorsement and removed restriction enhances your job prospects and versatility.
