- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 AR commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
Adding a Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement to your Arkansas CDL opens the door to higher-paying jobs with organizations like Walmart (Bentonville), Tyson Foods (Springdale), Delek US Holdings (El Dorado), and Nucor Steel (Blytheville). This endorsement allows you to transport dangerous cargo (everything from agricultural chemicals to petroleum, industrial chemicals, and even mining explosives) that the U.S. government has labeled “hazardous.” Because of these risks, Arkansas requires extra steps to ensure public safety and environmental protection.
To earn your HazMat endorsement, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) fingerprint-based background check (including criminal, immigration, and FBI records). Once that process (which can take weeks) is completed successfully, you must pass the state knowledge test. This official test covers federal regulations, packaging, quantity limits, handling procedures, and transport configurations. That’s quite a lot of material to master, which is why we have created our scientifically designed series of practice tests (this practice test is one of the two tests in this series).
The official test is based on Section 9 of the Arkansas CDL Manual, and you must score at least 80% to pass. Once cleared by TSA, you’ll submit documents, pay your fees, and take the exam at the Arkansas DMV.
This second Arkansas HazMat practice test gives you 30 multiple-choice questions that mimic material from the official CDL manual. Like the first practice test, each question has only one correct answer. Our team of experts has designed these practice tests with the specific purpose of helping you pass your official exam on the first attempt.
Our online practice tests are designed to get straight to what’s relevant for the test and avoid all the extraneous information you’ll find online. If you miss a question on our practice tests, you are immediately provided with a brief explanation of why a different response is better. Studies have shown that this real-time response speeds the learning process and increases retention!
Once you receive your TSA results (and are prepared because you used the wait time to study and practice), you’ll visit the DMV with the necessary documents, pay the fees, and pass the test.
Whether you’re driving the steep, winding Ozark and Ouachita Mountains, crossing the Mississippi River, or moving through the plains and farmland, a HazMat endorsement expands your opportunities and earning potential across Arkansas. Take care of this as soon as possible and then check out our other Arkansas-specific endorsement practice tests!
