CT CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator 2024
The General Knowledge test that the Connecticut DMV will roll out has 50 multiple-choice questions. In order to pass and receive your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), you’ll need to answer at least 40 of those correct in just 60 minutes. If you fail you’ll sadly have to come back another day. These questions can get tricky, covering everything from escape ramps to the time it takes for a tractor trailer to clear a train track. In other words, it’s more than just common knowledge, so you’ll want to study up on the official State commercial driver’s manual and take a number of practice tests until you have the answers down cold. But that’s not the only prep you need. You also will want to make sure that you have all your paperwork in order before you go. To qualify to take the exam you need a valid driver’s license and proof of permanent residency or citizenship. Your birth certificate or social security card should suffice for this. In addition, however, you’ll also need a certificate from an approved medical examiner that proves you are physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle. These usually last two years, but can be less if you suffer from a condition that needs to be monitored, like high blood pressure. After you’ve gotten the medical certificate, your license, your proof of citizenship all together, you’re ready to test your knowledge under real test conditions. Also, lucky for you, our CT CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator has questions similar to the real thing. Start studying today!
