FL CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test 2 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements

Already cruising Florida’s sunny highways with your Florida Class A CDL? You’re just one step away from unlocking a major career upgrade. The Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement is your golden ticket to operating double-trailer combinations in the Sunshine State (and triple trailers where permitted in other states). With this endorsement, you can compete for higher-paying jobs with carriers like FedEx, UPS, and Old Dominion, which actively seek drivers holding the T endorsement.

According to Section 7 of the Florida Commercial Driver License Manual, the Florida DMV administers the official Doubles/Triples Knowledge Test. The test contains 20 multiple-choice questions, and you must answer at least 16 correctly (80%) to pass. If you don’t pass, Florida requires a seven-day waiting period before retesting. Seven days! Additionally, your initial test fee covers up to three attempts, after which additional fees will apply. With these potential delays and added fees, you’ll want to pass this test on the first attempt, and that’s where our practice exams come in!

Because a week-long delay can stall your career plans, we’ve built Florida-specific Double/Triples Practice Tests to help ensure you pass on your first try. These tests mirror the structure and content of the official exam, offering real-time feedback, hints to guide you along the way, and adaptive learning tools (AI). The practice questions align with the Florida CDL Manual and cover preventing rollovers and jackknifing, safe braking procedures for doubles/triples, proper coupling and uncoupling, maintaining safe following distances, and trailer inspections; everything needed to pass the test!

With Florida’s major freight routes, including I-75, I-95, I-10, and the Florida Turnpike, hauling multiple trailers can yield vast profitable opportunities! The T Endorsement gives you a competitive edge over drivers without it.

For even more advantages, add endorsements like N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), P (Passenger), S (School Bus), or X (Tank & Hazmat Combo). We have practice exams for each endorsement, opening the door to more opportunities and job security!

Most doubles/triples use air brake systems. If your CDL currently has an L or Z restriction, you’ll also need to pass the Florida Air Brakes Knowledge Test and a skills test in a vehicle with air brakes to have that restriction removed. Plainly put, you can’t drive doubles and triples without it. No worries, though. We offer Florida-specific air brake practice tests as well.
