The Sunshine State is home to theme parks, beaches, cruise ports, airports, college towns, retirement communities, and tourist hot spots. It’s no surprise that there are lots of opportunities for CDL holders who add a Passenger "P" Endorsement. This endorsement is a must if you plan to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to transport 16 or more passengers (including yourself). To obtain this endorsement, one requirement is passing the Passenger Transport Test. You’ll also need to pass the Skills Test in a representative vehicle for the class of vehicles you wish to operate. The list doesn’t stop there. If you transport passengers in a CMV equipped with air brakes, you must pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test to remove that restriction. If you want to transport students, you’ll need a School Bus "S" Endorsement. The good news is that our experts have crafted state-specific practice tests to help with each of these requirements. Our Florida DMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests present the tested material (minus unnecessary filler) using the same multiple-choice structure as the official exam. Our practice tests familiarize you with the sometimes-tricky wording you will face and are specifically crafted to help ensure you pass your official exam on the first attempt.
You must be at least 18 to drive intrastate and at least 21 to drive interstate. Also, the vehicle you use for the skills test matters too, because testing in a lower-class passenger vehicle can place a restriction on your allowed vehicle class. Our interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ remembers any questions you miss and repeats them until you answer correctly. Once you’ve aced this practice test, try another: https://driving-tests.org/florida/fl-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
The P endorsement knowledge exam tests your understanding of passenger safety, equipment, and pre-trip and post-trip inspections. You are expected to know how to inspect the interior features of the CMV, including handholds and railings, emergency exit signs, handles, doors, windows, and roof hatches. You must also know how to inspect service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You’ll need to know how to handle carry-on baggage so it doesn’t block aisles, doors, or emergency exits, follow hazardous materials restrictions on buses, manage the standee line, manage disruptive passengers, make smooth starts and stops, and more. Taking the guesswork out of what is needed, our practice tests help you remember such details before you arrive for the official exam.
