Welcome to this Illinois CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test, the fourth of five we offer. Its content and format are similar to those of the official Double/Triple Trailers Knowledge Test, which you will take at a DMV office. Your knowledge of commercial driving regulations, air brakes on doubles and triples, safe driving practices, and navigating adverse conditions will be evaluated through multiple-choice questions. You must answer 16 correctly (80%) to pass and obtain a Double/Triple ("T") endorsement.
With this practice test, you’ll have everything you need to master this subject. To boost your learning potential, you can pair it with the official Commercial Driver’s License Study Guide (Illinois CDL Handbook 2026). Focus on Section 7 (Doubles and Triples) and read it multiple times throughout your learning phase. A low score on your first attempt should not be a problem. With unlimited attempts and nonstop access, you can retake this practice test as often as you wish.
Customize your testing experience with the test settings menu, which can be accessed by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner of the page. Activate the voice-over function to increase your focus and improve retention. It’s easier to pay attention to the practice test when an artificial voice actively reads every question and answer choice aloud. Students with auditory memory can benefit from using this feature, especially when paired with ambient music.
This practice test is available in more than one language. You can select yours at any time from the language switcher. Prioritize comfort and optimize your study environment to make learning effective and stress-free. Use the slider from the test settings menu to increase the font size for easier reading. Additionally, we recommend adjusting the display brightness to an appropriate level for your eyes.
After being issued, the "T" endorsement will be added to your Class A CDL. If you haven’t yet obtained this license, you should train with our Free Illinois CDL Permit Practice Test. It will teach you the various aspects of general commercial driving theory, which every aspiring commercial driver must know before they begin a career in this field.
