- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 KS commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
If you already have your Kansas Class A CDL, you’re within reach of a great opportunity to expand your marketability on the Sunflower State’s 141,000 miles of roadway. The Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement is the certification you need to operate double-trailer combinations within Kansas (and triple trailers where permitted in other states). This endeavor will open the door to higher-paying jobs with carriers like FedEx, UPS, and Old Dominion, which often hire T-endorsed drivers.
Section 7 of the Kansas Commercial Driver’s License Manual is the primary source material for the official Kansas Doubles/Triples Knowledge Test. Passing this test earns you the T Endorsement. The test is administered by the Kansas DMV, and includes 20 multiple-choice questions. You must answer at least 16 correctly (80%) to pass. If you do not pass, you must wait seven days before retaking the test. Your initial testing fee covers three attempts, but after that, more fees will apply. That’s quite a waiting period, and who wants more fees! So, our experts have put together a series of practice tests that help ensure you pass on your first attempt!
Our free Kansas CDL Doubles and Triples Endorsement Practice Tests are designed to mirror the official exam. With real-time feedback, hints, and adaptive learning features, our tests go way beyond meager study guides, incorporating tools that help improve retention and speed the learning process. The practice questions align with the Kansas CDL Manual and cover prevention of rollovers and jackknifing, safe braking procedures, proper coupling and uncoupling, maintaining safe following distances, and performing trailer inspections.
With major Kansas roadways like I-70, I-35, and US-54, the T Endorsement ensures you’re prepared to handle doubles across the flatlands, rolling Flint Hills, and busy urban areas. Also, if you want to enhance your credentials even further (and we think you should), consider adding additional endorsements such as N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), P (Passenger), S (School Bus), and X (Tank & Hazmat Combo). We’ve got practice tests for those, too!
Most double/triple trailer combinations use air brakes, so you’ll also need to pass the Kansas Air Brakes Knowledge Test to remove the “L” or “Z” restriction from your license. Not to worry! We offer Kansas-specific air brake practice tests too!
