Known as the Bay State and the Old Colony State, Massachusetts has some incredible passenger transportation jobs for CDL holders with the Passenger "P" Endorsement. Opportunities extend from Boston and Worcester to Springfield, Lowell, Cape Cod, the Islands, and the Berkshires, and include passenger transport needs in airport terminals, commuter routes, charter trips, church buses, school transportation networks, senior transportation, paratransit service, and tourism destinations. Commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, require CDL holders with a Passenger "P" endorsement. One of the requirements for obtaining the P endorsement is passing the Massachusetts RMV Passenger Endorsement Knowledge Test, which covers material found in the general safe-driving and passenger-transport sections of the state CDL manual. This is not the only requirement, and depending on whether you plan to operate an air brake-equipped CMV, you must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test. Also, if you haven’t already, you must pass the Skills Test in the class of passenger vehicle you plan to operate. Our Massachusetts RMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests present the tested material in the same multiple-choice format as the official exam. You’ll also become familiar with the tricky wording often used. Our content experts have removed unnecessary fluff and carefully crafted these tests to help ensure you pass your official exam on the first attempt.
You’ll cover pre-trip and post-shift inspections, including the service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the inside of the bus, where aisles and stairwells must be clear, handholds and railings must be secure, signaling devices must work, seats must be securely fastened, and emergency exits must be marked, accessible, and functioning properly. During the trip, you’ll need to know how to safely load and unload passengers, manage carry-on baggage, follow hazardous materials restrictions, recognize the standee line, avoid distracting conversations with passengers, and handle disruptive riders.
Our interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ remembers any questions you miss and repeats them until you answer correctly. We also include an interactive CDL Manual. Ace this practice test and try another: https://driving-tests.org/massachusetts/ma-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
