You must answer 50 multiple-choice questions and score at least 80% to pass. How well do you know pre-trip inspections, safe driving practices, traffic laws, and emergency procedures? When you’re out there delivering hazardous cargo on Michigan’s roads, even small mistakes can be disastrous. You must be professional at all times, as commercial driving involves a lot of responsibility. As you begin your learning phase, please dedicate at least several weeks to your studies. During this time, you should read the official Michigan commercial driver license handbook (Michigan CDL Handbook 2025) at least once. Use our other CDL practice tests to strengthen your knowledge, and when you’re ready, see if you can pass the official exam by practicing with our simulator.

To simulate the official testing experience, we recommend avoiding any external help. Cheating will not be tolerated at the SOS office, so there’s no point in creating a false sense of security with this simulator.
