Commercial Passenger Vehicle drivers are vital to keeping Michigan’s infrastructures running. These jobs report high rates of job satisfaction, great earnings potential, and expanding opportunities. Michigan’s residents and visitors depend on local transportation systems and private service providers to travel daily. Earning a ‘P’ endorsement on your Michigan Class A, B, or C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will allow you to operate vehicles designed to carry at least 16 occupants. This credential will set you on your way to claiming those opportunities for yourself.
To start, you need to pass a written knowledge test and a road skills test. Not to worry, we have that knowledge test covered! Our free Michigan CDL Passenger Vehicle practice test will be the most valuable resource in your preparation. It is based on the 2025 CDL Manual (Michigan CDL Handbook 2025) and is up to date as of October 2025. Michigan requires you to answer 80% of the 20 questions correctly on the written knowledge test to receive a passing score. You will be tested on the sections pertaining to Driving Safely, Transporting Passengers Safely, Vehicle Inspection, and Basic Vehicle Control Skills.
