The Magnolia State has passenger transportation needs that extend throughout Jackson, Gulfport, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Tupelo, Southaven, the Delta, and the Gulf Coast. If you are looking to add substantial marketability to your CDL, there are job opportunities in passenger transport in college towns, casino and resort districts, church trips, airport shuttles, charter routes, school transportation networks, senior transportation, paratransit service, and rural passenger communities. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders who drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, must have a Passenger "P" endorsement. One of the requirements for obtaining the P endorsement is passing the Mississippi DMV Passenger Transport Test. You must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and Skills Test (in an air brake-equipped vehicle) if you plan to transport passengers in a CMV equipped with air brakes. You are also required to pass the Skills Test in the class of passenger vehicle you plan to operate. Our Mississippi DMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests present the tested material in the same multiple-choice structure as the official exam and in a similar writing style. Our content experts have removed unnecessary material and carefully crafted these tests to help ensure you pass your official exam on the first attempt. Our interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ remembers any questions you miss and repeats them until you answer correctly. Ace this practice test and try another: https://driving-tests.org/mississippi/ms-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
Most of the exam focuses on passenger safety and tests your know-how of pre-trip and post-shift inspections. You are expected to know how to inspect the service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the inside of the bus, where aisles and stairwells must be clear, handholds and railings must be secure, signaling devices must work, seats must be safely fastened, and emergency exits must be fully functional and clearly marked. These expectations and much more are fully covered in our preparatory materials.
