MT CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test 2 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements

Do you already hold a Class A CDL in Montana? Are you looking for a way to substantially increase your hauling potential – and your paycheck? With a Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement, you are authorized to operate double and triple trailer combinations. In Big Sky Country, this credential opens doors to more specialized and higher-paying jobs across the state and beyond.

To earn the T Endorsement, you must pass Montana’s official Doubles and Triples (T) Knowledge Test. The exam features 20 multiple-choice questions. The passing score is a minimum of 80%, which requires at least 16 correct answers. If you don’t pass, you must wait at least one business day before retesting. Additional fees may apply for subsequent attempts.

Our Free Montana CDL Doubles and Triples (T) Knowledge Practice Tests are based on the content you must know and are tailored to match the exact structure and difficulty level of the MVD test. With real-time feedback, strategic hints to guide you along the way, and AI-powered tools, you’ll study much more efficiently than with traditional study guides.

Reflecting the most recent Montana CDL Manual, the practice material covers coupling and uncoupling techniques, preventing rollovers and jackknifing, and controlling the “crack-the-whip” effect. Safe following distances, braking procedures for longer combination vehicles, and inspection procedures are also covered. And this is just the beginning! There is more to learn, and our platform guides you through all the tested material.

Montana’s wide-open highways, including routes like I‑90, I‑15, and US‑2, are common roadways for long combination vehicles. Companies like FedEx Freight and Old Dominion regularly seek Montana CDL holders with a T Endorsement to transfer cargo acrossMontana’s rugged terrain.

Important Reminder: Most doubles/triples use air brakes. If your CDL currently has an “L” restriction, you must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and related skills test to legally operate these vehicles. Achieving the T Endorsement is of little value if you are restricted to vehicles without air brakes, so make sure you prepare with our additional practice tests!

Other endorsements, including N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), X (Hazmat/Tanker Combo), P (Passenger), and S (School Bus), should also be considered. Each one adds more versatility and marketability to your CDL, and our platform includes practice tests for each.

Don’t forget to check out our full library of Montana-specific endorsement and air brake tests, each one designed to help you pass on your first attempt.
