If you have already taken a look at the CDL manual and all the content covered in the testing for a CDL Passenger "P" Endorsement, you may be a bit overwhelmed. Don’t worry. Our content experts have put together a series of New Hampshire DMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests that help ensure you pass the official exam on your first attempt. We have taken the guesswork out of what to study by eliminating any fluff. We also created an interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ that remembers any questions you miss and recycles them into the queue until you answer correctly. Our practice tests also feature an end-of-session review that highlights any problem areas and an interactive CDL Manual. The Granite State offers plenty of opportunities for passenger-endorsed CDL drivers. In Manchester, Nashua, Concord, Portsmouth, the Lakes Region, and the White Mountains, there are lots of settings in need of passenger-endorsed drivers. Ski communities, airport routes, charter trips, church outings, school activity travel, senior transportation, and rural passenger service are just some of the settings in which New Hampshire depends on trained drivers to move people safely.
If you have your commercial driver license (CDL) and plan to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to transport 16 or more people, including yourself, you’ll need a P endorsement. One of the requirements for obtaining the P endorsement is passing the New Hampshire DMV Passenger Transport Test. You’ll need a minimum passing score. Once you’ve aced this practice test, be sure to try another from our series: https://driving-tests.org/new-hampshire/nh-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
The bulk of the endorsement exam focuses on your understanding of how to keep passengers safe throughout the trip, from the pre-trip vehicle inspection to the post-shift inspection. You must know how to inspect the service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the inside of the bus and all of its features, including its clearly marked emergency exits. All of this and more is covered in our collection of preparatory materials.
Also, depending on the vehicle you plan to drive, you may need to pass the separate Air Brakes Knowledge Test. If the bus has air brakes, including air-over-hydraulic brakes, this subject is not simply part of the Passenger test. It is a separate requirement. Our New Hampshire DMV CDL Air Brakes Practice Tests are your key to passing that official exam as well.
