Are you looking to expand your job opportunities in the Buckeye State? If you have your commercial driver’s license (CDL), adding a Passenger P Endorsement is a great way to open an entire industry of job possibilities. Picture yourself transporting passengers across places like Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, Akron, and Youngstown, and working for college communities, Lake Erie tourism areas, or Amish Country, or on airport routes, charter service, church trips, public transit, senior transportation, paratransit, and even school transportation networks. If you plan to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to transport 16 or more people, including yourself, you need a P endorsement. To add the endorsement, you must pass the Passenger Transport Knowledge Test and complete the Skills Test in a representative passenger vehicle. Also, if your CMV has air brakes (including air-over-hydraulic brakes), you must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and Skills Test in an air brake-equipped vehicle. If you have looked at the source material in the state CDL Manual, you are likely already well aware of the substantial amount of knowledge needed to pass the official exam. It can certainly seem like a daunting task; however, our Ohio BMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests are designed to help you pass the official exam on your first attempt.

Our practice tests use multiple-choice questions to help you become comfortable with the official test format and wording. The interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ remembers missed questions and brings them back until you answer them correctly, and our end-of-session review identifies areas where more study is needed. Once you ace this practice test, try another here: https://driving-tests.org/ohio/oh-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.

The official exam assesses your understanding of how to inspect the brakes, steering system, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels and rims, coupling devices (if applicable), and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the passenger compartment. Aisles and stairwells must remain clear, seats must be secure, handholds and railings must be safe, signaling devices must work, and emergency exits must be clearly marked and ready for use. You must also know how to handle loading, carry-on baggage, hazardous-material restrictions, standee lines, disruptive passengers, smooth starts and stops, curves, after-trip inspections, prohibited practices, and brake-door interlocks. You’ll also need to understand railroad and drawbridge crossing protocol. All of this and more is covered in our preparatory materials.

Prepare for the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and avoid a CDL air-brake restriction with our Ohio BMV CDL Air Brakes Practice Tests: https://driving-tests.org/ohio/oh-cdl-air-brake-practice-test/.
