- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 OR commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for August 2025
With your Oregon Class A CDL in hand, you’re just steps away from earning the T endorsement, which grants you the legal authority to operate double or triple trailer combinations. To obtain it, you must pass the official Double and Triple Trailers Test.
Our Free Oregon CDL Double and Triple Trailers Practice Tests are expertly designed to deliver content and structure that mirrors the official exam. But we don’t stop there! With real-time feedback, built-in hints, and AI-powered learning tools, you’ll be able to study more effectively and boost your chances of first-time success.
The test includes 20 multiple-choice questions. You must answer at least 16 questions correctly (80%) to pass. If you fail, the Oregon DMV requires a one-business-day waiting period before retesting. After three failed attempts, a retesting fee is required. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen by using our suite of practice tests.
Our practice tests use content from the latest Oregon CDL Manual and cover topics like safe driving techniques to prevent rollovers and jackknifing, coupling and uncoupling procedures, braking strategies for combination vehicles, maintaining safe following distances, and trailer inspections. There is a section added to the doubles/triples review material (section 7.4) for air brake management in the Oregon CDL Manual.
Adding a T endorsement to your CDL can significantly increase your earning potential by qualifying you for specialized, higher-paying jobs. Oregon’s roadways include I-5, I-84, and US-97, all of which see heavy freight traffic. Companies like UPS, Schneider, and Old Dominion rely on drivers certified to haul doubles and triples. To further expand your career options, consider earning additional endorsements like N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), P (Passenger), S (School Bus), and X (Combination of Tank and Hazmat). Each endorsement requires a separate knowledge test, and we offer Oregon-specific practice tests for all of them.
Most double and triple trailer combinations use air brakes, so you’ll need to pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test to remove any “L” or “Z” restriction from your CDL. (You can forget about driving combination trailers without this restriction removal.) We provide Oregon Air Brakes practice tests to help you pass that exam as well.
This practice test is Practice Test Two of our Oregon CDL Double and Triple Trailers Practice Test series. Check out Practice Test One and explore our full suite of endorsement and air brake prep tools, all tailored to meet Oregon requirements.
