Utah CDL Class A Practice Test 2025

Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

To become a commercial driver in Utah, you must finish the licensing process and get a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). You can apply as soon as you turn 18, but you won’t be allowed to drive across state lines, carry passengers, or haul hazardous materials until you’re 21. The licensing process begins with several knowledge tests. The official general knowledge exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to evaluate your understanding of safe driving practices, pre-trip inspections, trailer handling, and weight distribution. For a Class A CDL, you must also pass the official combination vehicles knowledge test. To obtain a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), you’ll need a minimum score of 80% on each exam.

All aspiring drivers in the United States must complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) before they can schedule and take the CDL skills tests. You must get your ELDT from a provider listed in FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry (TPR). As you begin your learning phase, the official Utah Commercial Driver’s License Manual (Utah CDL Handbook 2025) will be your primary study resource. This handbook describes the various aspects of commercial driving theory in detail, but there are other efficient tools you should consider.

Our Utah CDL Class A Practice Test can be a game changer for those struggling with test anxiety. On exam day, many students fail simply because they don’t know what to expect. By using this practice test regularly, you can reinforce your knowledge and master commercial driving theory through active learning while also familiarizing yourself with the content and format of the official exam.

The answer popularity feature can help you identify difficult questions where misconceptions are common. After you select an answer, each answer choice will show a percentage, giving you insight into how other users responded. This information allows you to focus on frequently missed questions and use the detailed explanations to strengthen your knowledge.

With unlimited attempts and 24/7 browser-based access, there’s no limit to how often you can train with our practice tests. Begin your training today, keep track of your scores, and see your knowledge naturally improve over time.

Had very little time to study, 7 days, but I passed.
I had very little time to study, 7 days, but I passed! User friendly, clear and concise. Useful and helpful information and I passed!

State specific.
Failed my CDL class B exam after using a free study guide online. The Utah DMV Officer agreed with me that those free study guides are not State specific. (You would think that the Federal DOT and the state DOT departments would be on the same page making all tests in all states identical { they aren't}). Driving-tests.org was state specific. 98% pass. Thank you!

I was getting ready to take the CDL….
I was getting ready to take the CDL written test after reading through the Commercial License Hand Book for my state. I also looked around the internet to see if I could find some of the questions that may be on the written CDL test for my state. My search came back with a free CDL test from driving-tests.org for my state. So I started the free test and failed basically right off the bat. The questions I did get correct were in the Commercial Driver License Hand Book but there were way more questions on the drivers-tests.org test then were in the drivers CDL hand book that I would need to pass the written CDL test. So I signed up for the program for my state and took advantage of all the questions tests they have. The CDL general test(s) and Break restriction test(s), combination vehicle test(s), double/triple trailer test(s) and finally the tanker endorsement test(s). I was able to pass all the tests with the help of some of the products I found driving-tests.org. I definitely recommend the test products on driving-tests.org. I would not have my CDL permit right without their assistance.

Dear future CDL drivers,.
I hope you are doing ok and still want to pass the general knowledge, air brakes, combination vehicles and more endorsements. driving-tests.org is the best way to avoid failures in these requirements in any State.Believe me, I was struggling but now I have my permit and I can move forward. Check it out right now and you will thank me later.

This training is exactly what I needed.
Since Feburary 7, 2022, the new Fmsca rule requires a training course in order to upgrade a CDL to hazmat. I was given this company website by a friend and I took the course, passed all of the online training test and then passed the hazmat test at the DOT office with no problem. I now have my hazmat endorsement. thank you for making this process simpler than I thought that it would be.
