- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 WV commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
Drive the Mountain State with newfound pride by earning your Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement. Already have your West Virginia Class A CDL? Then you’re just one step away from unlocking vast new opportunities with the T Endorsement. This endorsement authorizes you to haul double-trailer combinations across West Virginia and even triples in some states beyond. To get to this point, though, you must pass the official West Virginia Doubles and Triples Knowledge Test based on the most recent West Virginia CDL Manual.
The official test consists of DMV multiple-choice questions. You must answer at least 16 questions correctly (80%) to pass. If you fail, you must wait seven days before retesting. You can test up to three times per fee. We want you on the road and driving with your new endorsement without all the hassle of additional wait times and fees. To help you reach this goal, we’ve put together a scientifically designed set of practice tests and AI-driven tools to help you pass on your first attempt!
Our free West Virginia CDL Doubles and Triples Practice Tests are designed to mirror the real exam mandated by the West Virginia DMV. You’ll benefit from real-time feedback, hints along the way, and AI-powered tools to speed learning and improve retention. These features help increase your chances of passing on the first attempt.
Our practice tests are aligned with the latest West Virginia CDL Manual and cover tested topics like preventing rollovers and jackknifing, safe driving and braking procedures, proper coupling and uncoupling, maintaining safe following distances, and visual inspections and trailer handling.
Earning your T Endorsement opens doors to higher-paying jobs with companies like FedEx, Old Dominion, and UPS, along major West Virginia roadways like I-64, I-77, and I-79. These companies rely on certified drivers to transport freight across West Virginia’s diverse terrain (it’s not called “The Mountain State” for nothing!).
Want to maximize your credentials even more? Consider adding endorsements for N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), P (Passenger), S (School Bus), and X (Tank & Hazmat combo). We offer West Virginia-specific practice tests for all of them.
Most double and triple trailer combinations use air brakes, so you’ll also need to pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test to remove the “L” or “Z” restriction from your license. Otherwise, you’re not permitted to operate most combination trailers. Don’t worry! We offer West Virginia Air Brake practice tests too!
