If you have a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and plan to operate a vehicle designed to transport 16 or more people, including yourself, then you’ve come to the right place to prepare for the required Passenger "P" Endorsement. From Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, Racine, Appleton, Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Wausau to the Lake Michigan communities, you’ll add a significant amount of marketability to your license when you become credentialed. Whether you’re transporting passengers for Door County tourism, airport routes, charter trips, church outings, senior transportation, paratransit, or the state’s school system, your list of job opportunities will undoubtedly grow. To obtain the P endorsement, you must pass the Wisconsin DMV Passenger Transport Exam with a minimum score of 80%. Our Wisconsin DMV CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests help ensure you pass the official exam on your first attempt.
Our practice tests are made up of multiple-choice questions that mirror both the format and the wording of the official exam. Our end-of-session reviews highlight weak areas for further study. Included in our preparatory materials is an interactive CDL Manual and our AI-powered Challenge Bank™, which revisits missed questions until you answer them correctly. Ace this practice test and continue preparing here: https://driving-tests.org/wisconsin/wi-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
You also must pass a Skills Test in a representative passenger vehicle. Additionally, if the passenger commercial motor vehicle (CMV) you intend to operate is equipped with air brakes, you must pass the Wisconsin DMV Air Brakes Knowledge Test to have that restriction removed from your CDL. More resources to guide you through that are included below.
The Passenger endorsement test focuses on safety. You must understand how to inspect the vehicle, paying special attention to inspection reports from previous drivers. Equipment requiring inspection includes service brakes, parking brake, steering system, lights and reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels and rims, and coupling devices when present.
You will also need to know how to inspect and manage the passenger compartment. Not only must you inspect the vehicle inside and out, but you must also manage your passengers to maintain safety. You should understand hazardous-material restrictions, safe loading procedures, the standee line, and how to avoid distractions while supervising riders. You must also use gradual starts and stops to help protect passengers. With so many expectations and so much material to learn, supplementing your CDL Manual review with our practice tests is a must!
