Are you a commercial driver’s license (CDL) holder interested in adding the Wyoming DOT Passenger "P" Endorsement to your license? If you have perused the CDL Manual, you are no doubt aware that there is a significant amount of material to be learned prior to passing the official Wyoming DOT CDL Passenger Transport Exam. Our Wyoming DOT CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests are specifically designed to help ensure you pass the official exam on your first attempt. With a state-of-the-art Challenge Bank™ that repositions questions in your queue until you answer all of them correctly, our practice tests ensure you are fully prepared. Our questions are formatted and worded to mirror the official exam, so when you begin your official exam, you will already be familiar with its structure. We also provide an interactive CDL Manual and an end-of-session review that highlights any topics you should continue to study. Once you’ve aced this practice test, try another from our series: https://driving-tests.org/wyoming/wy-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
If you plan to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) designed to carry 16 or more people, including yourself, you need a Passenger "P" endorsement. The Equality State’s national parks, ski areas, mountain communities, airport routes, charter trips, church outings, school activity travel, senior transportation, and tourism destinations create a great variety of job opportunities for CDL drivers with a P endorsement. From Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Gillette, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Jackson, Cody, and Yellowstone to rural transportation routes throughout the Cowboy State, trained passenger drivers are a must.
You must also complete the behind-the-wheel Skills Tests in a representative passenger vehicle. Our practice tests cover key passenger-safety topics as well as your pre-trip and post-trip inspection requirements. You should know how to inspect the service brakes, parking brake, steering system, lights and reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels and rims, coupling devices when present, and emergency equipment. Before operating the bus, review the previous driver’s inspection report and make sure any safety-related defects have been repaired (or certified as unnecessary). You must also understand how to inspect and manage the passenger compartment and manage the passengers throughout the trip. Our preparatory materials go through all the particulars of these requirements and ensure you are fully prepared to fulfill your duties.
Many CMVs are equipped with air brakes, and you may not legally operate them without having passed both the Wyoming DOT Air Brakes Test and the Skills Test in an air brake-equipped CMV. Prepare for the Air Brakes Test here: https://driving-tests.org/wyoming/wy-cdl-air-brake-practice-test/.
