Free WY CDL Tanker Vehicles Practice Test 2024
As you explore career opportunities in Wyoming, you’ll find plenty of jobs in the oil and gas industry. It is one of the largest contributors to the state’s economy, and in the Powder River Basin, the demand for tanker drivers is quite high. Every day, tanker trucks transport crude oil, natural gas, and other petroleum products between refineries and distribution centers. Such dangerous cargo must be handled exclusively by professionals with an “X” endorsement on their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
This qualification represents the combination of the Tank Vehicles (N) endorsement (which allows you to drive vehicles designed to transport liquids or gases in a tank or tanks with an individual rated capacity of more than 119 gallons and a combined total capacity of 1,000 gallons or more) and the HazMat (H) endorsement (which allows you to transport hazardous materials that are toxic to humans or the environment).
Both of these endorsements are granted by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (DOT), after you pass their respective knowledge tests. We’ll help you with a series of Wyoming CDL Tank Vehicles Endorsement practice tests, but you can also check out our HazMat ones! Updated for December 2024, these practice tests are designed to help you master this subject and become a successful tanker driver.
You’ll need to answer 20 questions based on the official 2024 CDL manual (Wyoming CDL Handbook 2024). During your training sessions, you’ll notice a general overview of the test on the top-left side of the screen. This informational feature updates in real time and provides insight into your performance. You’ll know how many answers you’ve got right and how many more mistakes you can make before failing the test.
Pro tip: keep the CDL manual open in another tab while you are training with this intuitive tool. Once you reach a difficult question, simply search the manual for the correct answer. While this practice won’t be allowed during the official Tank Vehicles exam, it gives you an opportunity to develop a better understanding of the subject by reinforcing your knowledge through repetition and targeted review.
