Welcome to our second Alabama CDL Tanker Vehicles Practice Test! This intuitive tool can make a significant difference in your learning journey. When used regularly, it can boost your learning potential. Whether you train during your lunch break or at the end of a busy day, it is crucial to be consistent and perseverant. The content and format of this practice test are similar to the official Tank Vehicles Knowledge Exam. All aspiring tanker drivers must pass this test to receive the Tank Vehicles (N) endorsement.
Those who haven’t yet obtained a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) must go through the licensing process for a Class A or Class B CDL. After submitting an application and paying the licensing fees, they must pass a vision screening and a medical exam. (The medical examination is not required for applicants who plan to engage exclusively in excepted commerce.)
The official General Knowledge Exam includes 50 multiple-choice questions based on the official Commercial Driver License Manual (Alabama CDL Handbook 2026). After scoring 80% or higher on this exam, you will receive a CLP (Commercial Learner’s Permit). Our Free Alabama CDL Permit Practice Test can help you ace this exam on your first attempt. Use it regularly throughout your learning phase. Within a few weeks, you will notice clear improvements in your knowledge and confidence.

Before you can schedule and take your CDL skills tests, you must complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) from a provider who is listed in FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry (TPR).

What we use
Driver handbook • Knowledge‑test/permit overview • Fees & ID requirements • Office/appointment info
How we make exam‑like questions
We mirror recurring themes (e.g., right‑of‑way traps, sign look‑alikes) and use similar distractors and wording styles.
What we don’t do
We don’t collect or publish actual test items and we’re not affiliated with DMV.
