Free AK CDL School Bus Practice Test 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

In Alaska, the limited road infrastructure makes local transportation systems vital in many communities. School bus drivers are in high demand in urban areas like Anchorage and rural towns, where school access may depend on long-distance routes. If you are considering this career path, you should understand that while this job can be difficult at times, it offers a unique opportunity to serve your community.

Commercial driving in Alaska can be challenging, especially during winter. During each shift, you should be ready to navigate dangerous routes while ensuring the safety of students. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is strict about the licensing process. You must complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) from an FMCSA-approved provider and a school bus driver training course approved by the Department of Education. Once all training and background checks are complete, the final required step is to pass a road skills test in a school bus.

Our Alaska CDL School Bus Endorsement Practice Test closely reflects the content and format of the official written knowledge exam. All 20 multiple-choice questions are based on the official Alaska Commercial Driver License Manual (Alaska CDL Handbook 2025). All aspiring commercial drivers must meet several requirements. You must be at least 21, hold a valid Alaska driver’s license for at least three years, pass a medical examination, and be a resident of the state.

The next step is to apply for a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), which is granted after passing a general knowledge test. You’ll also need the Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, which you can obtain on your CLP or later on your CDL. You must score 80% or higher to pass the general knowledge test, but we recommend ignoring your score during your first few attempts. Learn from your mistakes as soon as they occur with the help of the detailed explanations provided for each question. Practice daily and watch your knowledge gradually improve over time.

Every expert driver started as a beginner. Take the first step and begin your learning phase with determination. Becoming a school bus driver in Alaska takes time and effort, but your dedication can lead to a stable and fulfilling career.
