AR CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator 2024
We want you to be set up for success the first time you go to the DMV to take the General Knowledge test for obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in Arkansas. However, there are a few things you should know before you go. Of course you have to be prepared for the test, something that requires you be ready to answer 50 relatively tricky questions regarding commercial driving in this state. If you get more than 10 answers wrong, and have an average of less than 80%, your score is considered a fail and you’ll have to come back another day. To avoid this fate, you’ll want to study up a bit using the official State commercial driver’s manual and take a healthy number of practice tests until you have the information down cold. Then, after you feel like you’ve got a handle on the facts, you’ll have to make sure to get the paperwork that they will be expecting. First of all, it is necessary to have a medical examiner’s certificate that proves that you are physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle. These certificates must be signed by a licensed medical examiner, as listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. The certificate usually lasts two years, unless you have a condition that requires monitoring like high blood pressure. The next required information you need is proof of citizenship or permanent legal residency. For this a birth certificate or social security card will do nicely. Lastly, you must have a current valid driver’s license. Gather all these things together along with your knowledge. And be prepared to pay a fee of anywhere up to $100 to get everything set.
