After moving to a new state, you are required to obtain a new driver’s license in that state to accurately reflect your address. To get started, determine which entity is responsible for issuing driver’s licenses in your new state. The Department/Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) are the two most common, but there are several more to choose from.
