Imagine studying for the Florida DMV Driver’s Permit Exam while riding Disney’s Dumbo ride or walking the Sunshine State’s beautiful beaches. That’s exactly what is possible with our Florida DMV Driver’s License Audio Handbook. This audio version is the perfect tool to prepare on the go for your Class E Knowledge Exam as well as the Driving Skills Test. It provides you with a flexible way to prepare without being tied to a desk, printed manual, or computer screen. For many students, hearing the handbook read aloud is more effective than reading it themselves, as aural learners can absorb material more effectively in that manner. However, the combination of the two approaches is a one-two punch that can’t be beat. Our full audio handbook can be played in a browser or downloaded as MP3 files for offline listening.
The Florida Class E Knowledge Exam includes 50 multiple-choice questions covering traffic laws, safe driving practices, and identifying traffic controls. You’ll need to understand signs, signals, pavement markings, right-of-way rules, intersections, lane use, speed control, parking, passing, distracted driving, impaired driving, and sharing the road with pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, emergency vehicles, school buses, and commercial vehicles. You must be at least 15 years old, complete the Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course (if over 18, the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course), and pass the vision and Class E Knowledge exams. You must also provide proper identification, pass a vision screening, and pass the required exams with a minimum required score of 80%. For drivers under 18, Florida also requires a learner’s license to be held for 12 months or until their 18th birthday with no moving traffic violation convictions during that period, and certification of at least 50 hours of supervised driving experience (including 10 at night).
While listening to the audiobook, learners will also hear about the state’s Move Over Law, school bus rules, school zones, railroad crossings, drawbridge signals, pedestrian crossings, roundabouts, limited access highways, rainy conditions, low visibility, hydroplaning, emergency braking, tire blowouts, and what to do after a crash. Generated using text-to-speech technology, the Florida Driver License Audio Handbook is a perfect supplement for learners who want more than one way to prepare.
