Longer Combination Vehicles (LCVs) are combination vehicles consisting of a tractor and two or three trailers. Even though most trucking jobs in Hawaii involve pulling a single trailer, adding the Doubles/Triples ("T") endorsement to your CDL can create employment opportunities across the mainland United States later in your career. Obtaining this endorsement requires a passing score of 80% or higher on the official Double/Triple Trailers Knowledge Exam (note that no skills test is required). You must also be at least 18 and hold a Class A CDL to qualify.
If you don’t know where to start, you should read the official Commercial Driver License Manual (Hawaii CDL Handbook 2026). Focus on Section 7 (Doubles and Triples) to learn what it takes to safely drive double and triple configurations on public roads. Our practice tests work best when paired with this handbook. Using both resources at the same time significantly boosts your learning potential. This fourth Hawaii CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test lets you review the most important concepts before exam day. Train with it as often as you wish and improve your knowledge through active learning.
