Illinois CDL General Knowledge Test 7 2025

Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

This General Knowledge practice exam contains another 50 questions based on the official CDL manual and updated for December 2025. These questions are designed to prepare you for the General Knowledge portion of your Illinois Commercial Driver’s License exam. As with our other tests, all questions are multiple-choice, with three possible answers for each question. Only one of the answers is correct. Every time you answer a question, you’ll get immediate feedback with a detailed explanation, so you won’t need to wait until the end of the test to know the correct answers. The practice tests are not timed, so you can take as long as you need to answer each practice question. We recommend that you always check each question’s explanation to gain further insight into the rule being tested. Each question on this CDL practice test also offers a hint, so if you’re stuck on a question, you can use this tip to help you figure out the correct answer. Good luck!

It is helpful. It is probably the most in-depth program that I have ever seen. It will give you the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to take your testing. As far as my schedule goes, it was really helpful to be able to do something online and not in person, on my own time and at my own progression level, and complete the program as quickly as I could possibly complete it. I was also able to go back and retake things, retest, and relearn some of the knowledge that I needed to learn in order to upgrade my license.

Driving Tests is easy and simple.
Driving Tests is a great place to study. It really helps you prepare for any exams that you wish to take at the DMV. I love how simple it is to use and has a very modern look to it, which makes it comfortable to use. Their AI feature also helps a lot too in case you need help with a question. It has helped me obtain my CDL and a HazMat edorsment. I would highly recommend this site to those who want to 100% pass their exams for both a DL or a CDL.
