Indiana requires every prospective school bus driver to complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT), pass the Indiana BMV School Bus “S” Endorsement Knowledge Test, pass the Passenger “P” Endorsement Test, and pass the Skills Exam in a school bus (plus other potential local requirements). Our state-specific practice tests are here to help you with each of these steps. The School Bus “S” Endorsement Knowledge Test is full of questions based on the state CDL Manual and federal, state, and local requirements. Our Indiana CDL School Bus “S” Endorsement Knowledge Tests are designed to eliminate fluff and focus directly on tested material.
Our practice tests mirror the structure and tone of the official exam and familiarize test-takers with the kinds of judgment calls, tricky phrasing, and scenario-based understanding needed for the official exam. AI-supported immediate feedback, an interactive CDL manual, and a Challenge Bank that cycles missed questions until mastered speed your learning process and increase overall retention. When you finish each practice test, your results page highlights topics needing review. Questions are created and maintained by the Driving-Tests.org content team following our multi-layer editorial process and updated whenever the IndianaBMV changes its handbook or website information. Official sources we check:
The official test centers on loading and unloading students. This particular area of study is paramount as, statistically, most injuries occur during this part of the busing process. Drivers are expected to manage danger zones around the bus, use mirrors effectively to minimize blind spots, and conduct controlled stops to protect students approaching or exiting the vehicle. The test also evaluates how well applicants understand risks, such as clothing or backpacks catching on a handrail, and the steps necessary to prevent and respond to incidents like these.
Indiana examines the driver’s judgment in emergencies, response at railroad crossings, proper evacuation methods, and maintaining student discipline. Every CLP or CDL holder must provide medical documentation and maintain their status with the BMV, and meet federal certification requirements. Potential bus drivers must also clear a state background check, including an FBI fingerprint check. Again, all of this is covered in our revolutionary Practice Tests Series.
We know what it takes to pass. And we’ve got the proof.
Driver’s Ed is - nobody wants to set foot inside the BMV. That’s why millions of learners trust us for simple, visual, effective prep.
