IA CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test 4 2026
Original questions by our teamBased on 2026 IA CDL Handbook
5 min
In Iowa, you cannot pull more than one trailer unless you have a Double/Triple (“T”) endorsement on your Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). To obtain this endorsement, the Department of Transportation (DOT) requires you to pass a -question knowledge test on the safe operation of Longer Combination Vehicles (LCVs). All questions are based on Section 7 (Doubles and Triples) of the official National CDL Manual (Iowa CDL Handbook 2026). We recommend reading this section at least once, and when you’re ready, you can evaluate your knowledge with our Iowa CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Tests.
You’re about to take the fourth practice test in this series, which can be accessed on any compatible device. Whether you use a tablet or a smartphone, you have the flexibility to study anytime, anywhere in the world. Our practice tests are browser-based, so you won’t have to install any software. Before you begin your first training session, we recommend opening the official National CDL Manual in another window. Look for the correct answers in Section 7 while you work through the questions. Ignore your score during your first few attempts and focus on learning from your mistakes.

What we use
Driver handbook • Knowledge‑test/permit overview • Fees & ID requirements • Office/appointment info
How we make exam‑like questions
We mirror recurring themes (e.g., right‑of‑way traps, sign look‑alikes) and use similar distractors and wording styles.
What we don’t do
We don’t collect or publish actual test items and we’re not affiliated with DOT.
