Obtaining a ‘P’ endorsement on your Kansas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will allow you to operate a vehicle transporting 16 or more passengers, including the driver. Before you may receive this endorsement, you must pass two different tests: a written knowledge test and a road skills test in a passenger-carrying vehicle. The written test requires 16 of the 20 (80%) questions to be answered correctly. This test concentrates on four areas: Driving Safely, Transporting Passengers Safely, Vehicle Inspection, and Basic Vehicle Control Skills.
