Louisiana CDL General Knowledge Test 9 2025

Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

Updated for December 2025, this Louisiana General Knowledge practice test contains another 50 questions based on the official CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) manual. You can use this test to prepare for the General Knowledge portion of the LA CDL exam. These questions are multiple-choice, with three possible answers for each question. Only one of those answers is correct. If you’re not sure about the correct answer, you can use the hint provided for each question. Each hint points you to the correct answer without giving away the correct answer itself. This should allow you to make an informed decision about the correct answer, even if you don’t actually know it. There is no time limit for completing this practice test. Every time you answer a question, you’ll get immediate feedback with a detailed explanation, so you won’t need to wait until the end of the test to know the correct answers.

Application is very, very well thought out, and the user.
The application is very, very well thought out, and the user interface is really good to where you can navigate easily. You know, you can go from next step to next step. The questions were great. There's a lot that I did know, and there's a whole bunch more that I did not know. So that just really prepared me for, you know, walking into the DMV, scheduling an appointment, and passing it the first time.

I love this website.
It helped me pass my Washington state CDL exam-airbreaks, doubles and triples and tankers. I’m using it now to study for my hazmat. My daughter uses it to study for her regular drivers license for Louisiana. I would recommend it to anyone needing practice test for all DMV needs!

Go slow take your time and read the questions.
I didn’t know what to think being a first time CDL. only driving a pickup truck all my life. I listened to the book and thought I’m never going to pass. but when I started taking the practice test it all started to fall into place. after completing all tests I made a appointment at the DMV ( that’s the hardest part is to make sure you have all documentation or they will not let you take the test) I sat down and did not miss a question. ( take the practice test until you can read the question and know the answers before your done reading the question)
