Maryland CDL General Knowledge Test 7 2025

Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

This General Knowledge practice exam contains another 50 questions based on the official CDL manual and updated for December 2025. These questions are designed to prepare you for the General Knowledge portion of your Maryland Commercial Driver’s License exam. As with our other tests, all questions are multiple-choice, with three possible answers for each question. Only one of the answers is correct. Every time you answer a question, you’ll get immediate feedback with a detailed explanation, so you won’t need to wait until the end of the test to know the correct answers. The practice tests are not timed, so you can take as long as you need to answer each practice question. We recommend that you always check each question’s explanation to gain further insight into the rule being tested. Each question on this CDL practice test also offers a hint, so if you’re stuck on a question, you can use this tip to help you figure out the correct answer. Good luck!

I took this. I went down to the motor vehicle, didn't miss one on any of my tests, nothing! I walked right through it. It was very simple. Like I said, you know, it gives you a multiple choice. You make your answer—if you get it wrong, on the bottom, it gives you a brief paragraph of what the correct answer is. And it was just so helpful. I mean, that's what I like most about it—it was so easy, and I've recommended it to quite a few of my friends.
