- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 MS commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
Looking for the right move to take your commercial driving career to the next level? In Mississippi, earning the Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement is probably it! This endorsement, added to your Class A CDL, allows you to legally operate double and triple trailer combinations, a highly sought-after skill set among freight carriers. Think of it as an instant upgrade with instant potential for higher pay.
To earn the endorsement, you must pass the Magnolia State’s Doubles and Triples Test, which consists of 20 multiple-choice questions based on the Mississippi Commercial Driver’s License Manual. The passing score required is 80%, which means answering at least 16 questions correctly. If you don’t pass, the Mississippi DMV requires you to wait one business day before retesting. After three failed attempts, additional fees may apply. Only allowing four missed questions doesn’t leave a lot of room for error!
Our Free Mississippi CDL Doubles and Triples Practice Tests are designed to help you pass the official test on your first try. These tests mirror the official exam format so you can practice in a setting just like the one you’ll face. Our practice tests also include real-time feedback, hints, and AI-powered learning tools to get you through the learning process faster and with more retention.
Each question is based on the most recent Mississippi CDL Manual and covers all the material needed to pass the test: preventing the “crack-the-whip” effect, coupling and uncoupling, preventing rollovers and jackknives, braking techniques, safe following distances, and inspection procedures.
With major roadways like I-10, I-20, I-55, and US-82, and distribution hubs in Jackson, Tupelo, Hattiesburg, and Gulfport, there’s a strong demand for T-endorsed drivers. Carriers such as FedEx Freight, Old Dominion, and XPO Logistics frequently seek out Mississippi for their doubles transport needs.
Want to stand out even more? Add more endorsements! N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), X (Tank and HazMat Combo), P (Passenger), and S (School Bus) are ones for which we offer Mississippi-specific practice tests.
Most doubles and triples use air brake systems. To operate these, you’ll need to pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and take your skills test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes. Our Mississippi Air Brakes Practice Tests help ensure you’re prepared.
