- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 NE commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for August 2025
Welcome to our Nebraska CDL Class A Practice Test, an intuitive tool that can help you master commercial driving theory. All you need to access it is a compatible device and a stable internet connection. Since this practice test is browser-based, you don’t need to install any software on your device. Once you begin a practice session, you should answer all 93 questions at your own pace. For your convenience, we have omitted any timer from this practice test so you can study at your own pace. Each question has multiple answer choices, but only one is correct. Many students make avoidable mistakes by rushing. Don’t fall into the same trap. Read each question twice and think carefully before you select an answer.
A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this practice test. However, students unfamiliar with commercial driving theory are more likely to fail on their first few attempts. Do not let a low score discourage you. Since you get unlimited attempts, you can start a new session right away. However, we recommend visiting your personal Challenge Bank™ first to identify areas that need to be improved and practice with the questions you previously got wrong. This section includes detailed explanations that help reinforce your knowledge. You should note this feedback in a notebook or notebook app and revisit the material during future training sessions. Keep in mind that questions in your Challenge Bank will remain there until you answer them correctly.
If you have difficulty reading the text, you are at risk of developing digital eye strain. This condition often affects students who spend long hours studying on a device and reading text on a screen. In the test settings menu, you’ll find a slider that lets you increase the font size. Make the text larger until it becomes easier to read, and adjust your screen’s brightness to protect your eyes.
Becoming a safe and responsible commercial driver takes time and effort. As you begin your learning phase, you should spend a few days studying the official Nebraska Commercial Driver’s License Manual (Nebraska CDL Handbook 2025) and several more weeks to train with our practice tests.
