NV CDL Combination Vehicles Practice Test 3 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

The Nevada Combination Vehicles Knowledge Test is one of several hurdles before earning your Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). You’ll need that license in order to legally operate tractor-trailers or other combination vehicles on Nevada highways. The test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, and you must answer at least 16 correctly (80%) to pass. According to the Nevada DMV, if you fail the test, you’ll have to wait at least one business day before retesting and pay a re-examination fee. Our series of Combination Vehicles Practice Tests is exactly the tool to help you pass the official exam on your first attempt.

Before we get into more detail about the test, please note that there are several other requirements that must be met prior to obtaining a Class A CDL. Before you can schedule your Class A CDL behind-the-wheel skills test, Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) must be completed with an FMCSA-approved provider listed on the Training Provider Registry (TPR). You must also pass the Nevada CDL General Knowledge Test to obtain your Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) and hold it for at least 14 days before even being allowed to take your behind-the-wheel skills exam!

Our Free Nevada CDL Combination Vehicles Practice Test mimics the official exam. Each practice question provides instant feedback to help you learn as you go. Topics are confined to what is actually tested, saving you time and mental bandwidth as you study. You’ll cover safe driving practices for combination vehicles, preventing trailer skids and jackknives, air-brake operation and inspection, coupling and uncoupling techniques, and vehicle inspection procedures. Once you’ve mastered this practice test, check out another one: https://driving-tests.org/nevada/nv-cdl-combination-test/.

From industries like construction and mining to long-haul freight and agricultural transport, major Nevada employers like FedEx Freight, Swift Transportation, Werner Enterprises, and XPO Logistics need Class A drivers! With so many great opportunities and Nevada infrastructure in place to bring it all together, a lucrative future awaits you!

Because most combination vehicles use air brakes, you’ll need to pass the CDL Air Brakes Test to avoid an air-brake restriction on your license. Prepare using our Nevada Air Brakes Practice Tests: https://driving-tests.org/nevada/nv-cdl-air-brake-practice-test/.

We also offer endorsement practice tests that add value to your CDL. Check out our Hazardous Materials Endorsement Practice Tests here: https://driving-tests.org/nevada/nv-cdl-hazmat-practice-test/.

With the right preparation, you’ll be ready to pass every official test and begin your new career driving combination vehicles across the Silver State.
