- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 NV commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for August 2025
To legally operate double or triple trailer combinations, you must hold a Class A CDL and pass the Doubles/Triples Knowledge Test, which adds the T Endorsement to your CDL. You’ll find there is a lot of material to learn in order to prepare for the official test, and standard study guides are not your best option for preparing! The Nevada test includes 20 multiple-choice questions, and you must score 80% or higher (at least 16 correct answers) to pass. If you fail, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires a one-business-day waiting period before retesting, and additional fees apply after three failed attempts. With so much material that needs to be learned and potential delays and fees for not passing, our Free Nevada CDL Doubles/Triples Trailers Practice Tests are designed to help you pass on your first try.
Our practice tests mimic the official Nevada exam format and include real-time feedback, hints, and AI learning tools to improve retention and accelerate learning. Our practice questions align with the latest Nevada CDL Manual and cover topics such as gentle steering to avoid the “crack-the-whip” effect, coupling and uncoupling procedures, rollovers and jackknife prevention, safe braking practices, following distances, and doubles/triples inspection procedures.
Earning your T Endorsement opens doors to higher pay and broader job opportunities in Nevada. With major roadways like I-80, I-15, and I-580, plus hubs in Las Vegas, Reno, and Elko, Nevada has a great demand for certified double-trailer operators. Companies such as Swift Transportation, Knight-Swift, and CR England often hire drivers with this endorsement.
To boost your employability even further, consider pursuing additional endorsements like Tank Vehicles (N), Hazardous Materials (H), X Combo, Passenger (P), and School Bus (S). We provide Nevada-specific practice exams to help you prepare for all these knowledge tests!
Because most double/triple trailer rigs operate with air brakes, you’ll need to pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and a skills test in an air brake-equipped vehicle. Doing so removes any “L” or “Z” restrictions from your CDL. We’ve got you covered there too, with our Nevada Air Brakes Practice Tests that help ensure you pass on your first attempt.
This practice test is Test Two in our Silver State CDL Double/Triple Trailers series. Check out our full range of Nevada CDL Practice Tests, including those for air brakes, combination vehicles, tankers, hazardous materials, passenger vehicles, and school buses.
