The steps required to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), which allows you to legally operate combination vehicles in New Hampshire, are numerous. The process can feel overwhelming, but our Practice Tests help ensure you pass each official exam on your first attempt! Passing the New Hampshire CDL Combination Vehicles Knowledge Test is one of the steps toward earning this license. Our Practice Tests avoid the fluff and present exactly what you need to pass the test quickly.
The New Hampshire DMV Combination Vehicles Knowledge Test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. You’ll need to score at least 80% (16 correct answers) to pass. The fee covers three attempts, after which you’ll need to pay an additional fee. That won’t be a concern with the aid of our practice tests! Official test topics include safe driving practices for combination vehicles, coupling and uncoupling procedures, inspection and maintenance protocols, air-brake systems within combination vehicles, and preventing skids and jackknives.
Our New Hampshire CDL Combination Practice Tests are designed to mirror the official exam format, but offer instant feedback to help you learn as you go. This is a much better approach than standard study guides and assessments that hold all comments until the end. Once you’ve aced this practice test, try another: https://driving-tests.org/new-hampshire/nh-cdl-combination-test/.
You must also complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) through an FMCSA-approved provider listed on the Training Provider Registry (TPR). Additionally, you’ll need to pass the CDL General Knowledge Test (we have practice tests to help). With these bases covered, you can obtain your Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP). Hold this permit for at least 14 days before scheduling your behind-the-wheel Skills Test (in a representative combination vehicle). All of that, in addition to passing your Combination Vehicles Knowledge Test, and you are ready to roll!
Earning your Class A CDL in New Hampshire unlocks opportunities on major routes like I-89, I-93, I-95, and U.S. Route 3. You’ll work in high-demand industries, such as transportation, construction, manufacturing, and logistics, and with major employers like ABF Freight, FedEx Freight, Old Dominion Freight Line, Schneider National, and Walmart Distribution Centers. The Class A CDL is lucrative!
Consider earning endorsements such as Hazardous Materials (H) and Doubles/Triples (T).
