NJ CDL HazMat Practice Test 3 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

The Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Endorsement substantially increases your marketability, opening a significant number of job opportunities and potentially higher pay. The HazMat endorsement allows you to legally transport materials that the U.S. government has determined to be hazardous. Adding the HazMat endorsement to your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is one of the best ways to expand your career opportunities.

In the Garden State, hazardous materials include petroleum products (such as gasoline and diesel fuel), industrial chemicals (such as chlorine and sulfuric acid), propane and other compressed gasses, medical waste and biohazards, and agricultural chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides. Many of New Jersey’s largest employers depend on HazMat-certified drivers, including ExxonMobil (Bayonne), Merck & Co. (Kenilworth), Linde Gas North America (Bridgewater), BASF Corporation (Florham Park), and PSEG (Newark). This is quite a list of industries and organizations that rely on HazMat-endorsed drivers. Without the endorsement, you will have no access to these opportunities.

To earn this endorsement, you must meet strict requirements aimed at ensuring your safety and that of the public and the environment. The first requirement is completing all Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements. Next, you’ll need to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) fingerprinting and background check, which can take several weeks. While waiting, you should prepare for the New Jersey MVC HazMat Knowledge Test, using our suite of practice tests. The official multiple-choice exam covers federal regulations, hazardous substance handling, material packaging, quantity limits, and transport configurations. A score of 80% or better is required to pass (New Jersey CDL Handbook 2025). As daunting as this may sound, we have exactly what you need to pass on your first attempt.

Our online practice exams provide immediate feedback for each response and are designed to mirror the official MVC test format. This scientifically-backed method allows you to quickly memorize and understand all of the relevant material. Once you have completed your ELDT requirements, have your TSA approval, and feel prepared by the testing material, you’ll schedule your test with the MVC. Arrive for your test on time, present the required documents, pay the fees, and pass your HazMat knowledge test!

This practice test is only one of several that our experts have designed to ensure your success. Once mastered, visit another here: https://driving-tests.org/new-jersey/nj-cdl-hazmat-practice-test/.
