Free New Mexico CDL Combination Practice Test 2025

Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

Are you considering a career change? Perhaps you’ve always been fascinated by heavy 18-wheelers, which are often seen traveling on New Mexico’s roads. Becoming a commercial driver takes time and effort, but it will reward you with a lucrative profession. You’ll need a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) to drive combination vehicles. This license is granted after finishing the licensing process, which is described in the first section of the official New Mexico Commercial Driver License Manual (New Mexico CDL Handbook 2025).

You must pass several theory exams before you can get behind the wheel of a semi-truck. The official general knowledge test will evaluate your understanding of commercial driving theory through 50 multiple-choice questions. You must score 80% or higher to pass, leaving little room for error. Upon passing this exam, you will be issued a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), which allows you to practice driving commercial vehicles under the supervision of a full CDL holder. Since you are interested in driving combination vehicles, you must also pass the official combination vehicles knowledge exam. This test is based on Section 6 (Combination Vehicles) of the official Commercial Driver License Manual.

Our Free New Mexico CDL Combination Practice Tests can help you achieve a passing score on your first attempt. Available 24/7, this intuitive tool can be accessed on any compatible device. Since this practice test is browser-based, you will need a stable internet connection at all times. You can customize your testing experience by activating several features. They are located in the test settings menu, which can be accessed by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner of the page. This menu also includes a slider for adjusting the font size.
