If you’re in the market for a Double/Triple (“T”) endorsement, you may already know that in New Mexico, you cannot tow more than one trailer unless you have this endorsement on your Class A CDL. Once obtained, this certification allows you to legally operate double- and (where allowed) triple-trailer configurations.
Some students wonder if this endorsement is worth getting. There’s increasing demand for specialized drivers who can safely drive Longer Combination Vehicles (LCVs) and make high-volume deliveries for local freight companies. However, you have to put in the work to access these opportunities. Keep in mind that New Mexico does not allow LCVs that include three trailers. You will only be allowed to pull triple trailers in states where it is legal to do so.
You must pass a -question knowledge test to obtain the “T” endorsement. We’ll help you achieve a passing score on your first attempt by providing you with access to our New Mexico CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Tests. When used regularly, this intuitive tool can significantly boost your learning potential.
You’re about to take the fourth practice test in this series. All questions are based on Section 7 (Doubles and Triples) of the official Commercial Driver’s License Manual (New Mexico CDL Handbook 2026). For your convenience, we have implemented several helpful features. You can find them in the test settings menu, which opens when you click the three dots in the top-right corner of the page.
Users with auditory memory can use the voice-over function to improve retention. You can also pair this feature with ambient music to eliminate distractions and increase focus. Disappointed by your final score? You can retake this practice test as often as you wish. We provide immediate feedback so that you can learn in real time. If you make a mistake, you won’t have to wait until the test ends to know what went wrong. Please pay attention to the detailed explanations. They help you understand the reasoning behind the correct answer and clarify why your initial choice was wrong.
