FREE NM CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator 2018
There are just 50 questions between you and your New Mexico commercial driver’s license. But the questions that you find on the General Knowledge test can be trickier than you think. You only have an hour to get them done and if you miss more than 10 you fail. Failure means you’ll have to come back to the MVD another day — and that can be a headache. To avoid this, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the official New Mexico Commercial Driver’s Manual and take practice tests until you are confident with the material. Practice tests like the ones we have give you the exact feeling of taking the test and put the concepts in context. Questions in many cases are very similar if not identical to what you will face at the MVD. However, you won’t even get as far as the test if you do not have your paperwork in order. To apply for the CDL you need a valid driver’s license as well as proof of citizenship or permanent resident status. For this last one a birth certificate, green card or social security card will do. But in addition to these, you need to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Essentially it certifies that you are physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle. These certifications can only be picked up from a licensed medical examiner as listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. With these and the knowledge that you get from careful study and practice you will be ready for success the first time.
