Are you looking for a way to prepare for the North Dakota DOT Passenger "P" Endorsement Exam? Our North Dakota DOT CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests follow the same multiple-choice format as the official exam and are written in a style similar to the sometimes-tricky wording used. Our interactive, AI-powered Challenge Bank™ remembers questions you miss and brings them back until you answer them correctly. We even provide an end-of-session review so that you’ll know exactly which topics to continue studying. Designed to help you pass the official exam on your first attempt, you’ll avoid any delays or retest fees and have this requirement completed quickly and efficiently. Ace this practice test and try another: https://driving-tests.org/north-dakota/nd-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.

If you have a commercial driver license (CDL) and plan to drive a bus designed to transport 16 or more people, including yourself, you’ll need a Passenger "P" endorsement. The Peace Garden State offers plenty of opportunities for passenger-endorsed CDL drivers. In Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Minot, Williston, Dickinson, and Jamestown, you’ll find job opportunities in tribal communities, college campuses, airport routes, charter trips, church outings, school activity travel, senior transportation, paratransit, rural passenger service, and more.

You will also need to complete the three-part CDL skills test in a passenger vehicle representative of the class you want to operate. Testing in a single-unit passenger bus with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more can result in an "M" restriction, meaning you may not operate a Class A passenger bus. Testing in a passenger vehicle under 26,001 pounds can result in an "N" restriction, meaning you may not operate Class A or Class B passenger buses. Make sure you test in the vehicle type that matches the one for your intended job. Also, if the commercial motor vehicle (CMV) you plan to operate has air brakes (including air-over-hydraulic brakes), you must pass the separate Air Brakes Knowledge Test and a Skills Test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes. We have North Dakota CDL Air Brakes Practice Tests for that as well: https://driving-tests.org/north-dakota/nd-cdl-air-brake-practice-test/.

The Passenger Endorsement Exam covers expectations that you know how to inspect the service brakes, parking brake, steering mechanism, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels, rims, coupling devices, and emergency equipment. You must also inspect the inside of the bus, with all of its equipment. This is only part of what you’ll learn. Get started today.
