A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required to legally drive straight trucks, large buses, and other commercial vehicles (such as delivery trucks) with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more. To obtain one in Ohio, you must complete the licensing process established by the BMV. You begin by submitting identification documents, paying the licensing fees, and passing a 50-question general knowledge test. If you plan to operate in non-excepted commerce, you must also pass a medical examination.
Our Ohio CDL Class B Practice Test closely reflects the content and format of the official general knowledge exam. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions based on the Ohio Commercial Driver License Manual (Ohio CDL Handbook 2026), a comprehensive resource published by the BMV.
