In Oklahoma, all aspiring commercial drivers must take the official CDL General Knowledge permit test. On this test, you must answer 50 multiple-choice questions before the timer ends. If you score 80% or higher, submit a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, provide the necessary documents, pass a vision test, and pay the license fees, you’ll receive a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP). After holding a CLP for 14 days and completing Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT), you can schedule and take the CDL skills test, which is the last step in the licensing process.
