The Sooner State is a great place to increase the marketability of your commercial driver’s license (CDL) by adding the Passenger P Endorsement. With the P endorsement and all requirements met, you can transport 16 or more people, including yourself, across Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Lawton, Stillwater, Edmond, Enid, and Broken Arrow. Job opportunities exist in tribal communities, college towns, rural routes, airport shuttles, casino and resort transportation, church trips, charter service, senior transportation, paratransit, transit systems, tourism routes, and school transportation networks (with the added "S" endorsement). To add the endorsement, you must pass the Passenger Transport Knowledge Test and the Skills Test in a representative passenger vehicle. Make sure you take your Skills Test in the same class of vehicle you plan to drive. Also, you’ll need to take the Skills Test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes if air brake-equipped vehicles are among the vehicles you want to drive (more on that in a moment). With all of these expectations and the substantial amount of material upon which you are tested, our Oklahoma DPS CDL Passenger Endorsement Practice Tests are the perfectly designed tool to help you pass the official exam on your first attempt. With AI-powered interactivity, you’ll learn as you go with our Challenge Bank™ and interactive CDL Manual. You’ll also receive a review at the end of each practice session that pinpoints topics needing further study. Once you’ve aced this practice test, try another: https://driving-tests.org/oklahoma/ok-cdl-passenger-vehicles-practice-test/.
Our state-specific preparatory materials cover the pre- and post-trip inspections you must know how to conduct. You must inspect the brakes, steering, lights, reflectors, tires, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors, wheels and rims, coupling devices when present, and emergency equipment. During the Skills Test, you must also inspect the passenger compartment, including aisles and stairwells, seats, handholds and railings, signaling devices, and more. You will be tested on your know-how of safe loading procedures, carry-on baggage rules, hazardous-material restrictions, standee lines, disruptive passengers, smooth starts and stops, curve safety, prohibited activities, and brake-door interlocks. You must also be aware of railroad and drawbridge protocol. All of this is covered in our materials.
As mentioned earlier, if the bus you plan to operate has air brakes (including air-over-hydraulic brakes), you must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test, and your Skills Test must be conducted in a vehicle with air brakes. Testing without air brakes can result in an "L" restriction, while testing in a vehicle with air-over-hydraulic brakes can result in a "Z" restriction.
