- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 WI commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for August 2025
Ready to unlock more CDL career options and increase your earning potential in Wisconsin? If you already hold a Class A CDL, adding a Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement allows you to legally operate double and triple trailer combinations, a major boon to your marketability in the Badger State.
To earn this endorsement, you must pass Wisconsin’s Doubles/Triples Knowledge Test, based on Section 7 of the latest Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s Manual. The official exam consists of DMV multiple-choice questions. You’ll need to answer at least 16 correctly (80%) to pass. If you fail, the Wisconsin DMV requires a one-business-day waiting period before retesting. Also, if you fail the test three times, additional fees apply. Make sure those delays and added fees don’t happen. That’s where we come in.
We’ve put our experts to the test of creating Free Wisconsin CDL Doubles/Triples Practice Tests that mirror the real test format. Each practice test includes real-time feedback, hints to guide you along, and AI-powered study tools. These features accelerate learning, dramatically increase retention, and significantly improve your odds of passing on the first try.
Our questions are derived directly from the most recent Wisconsin CDL Manual and cover tested safety topics like preventing the “crack-the-whip” effect with smooth steering, coupling and uncoupling procedures, avoiding rollovers and jackknifes, proper use of air brakes, and inspection procedures for multiple-trailer setups.
From I-94 and I-90 to the major distribution hubs in Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay, Wisconsin’s economy (and the state’s many employers!) depends heavily on skilled CDL drivers qualified to haul double trailers. Whether you’re hauling for Ruan Transportation, Old Dominion, or XPO, a T Endorsement puts you in high demand.
You should also consider other endorsements such as N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), X (Tank + Hazmat), P (Passenger), and S (School Bus). We offer Wisconsin-specific practice tests for all of these.
Because most double/triple trailer combinations are equipped with air brakes, you must pass the Wisconsin Air Brakes Knowledge Test and take your skills test in a vehicle with air brakes to avoid a restriction. Otherwise, your CDL will carry an “L” or “Z” restriction, limiting the types of commercial vehicles you can operate (and disqualifying you from transporting doubles and triples!).
Be sure to check out our full suite of practice tests, covering Combination Vehicles, Hazardous Materials, Tankers, Passenger Transport, School Buses, and Air Brakes.
