Free Online DMV Written Test Practice for Nebraska (2025)

  • Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and senior refresher test.

Niobrara State Park. A half dozen picturesque and historical scenic byways. The vibrant social scenes and nightlife in Omaha and Lincoln. Commuting via I-80, I-680, U.S. 30, U.S. 34, or U.S. 77 to work in agriculture, information technology, insurance, or manufacturing. Nebraska is the 16th-largest state by land area and the eighth-least densely populated. In Nebraska, a valid driver’s license is much more than a photo ID. It’s your official pass to freedom, access, and a richer quality of life.

You must meet a series of requirements to qualify for a driver’s license. One crucial requirement is to pass the official Nebraska DMV written test for a learner’s permit. Your permit will allow you to practice driving under supervision. The written test has 25 questions based on the official driver’s manual (Nebraska DMV Handbook (NE Driver's Manual) 2025). To pass, you must correctly answer at least 80% of the questions. Think it will be easy to pass the test after you’ve read the official driver’s manual a couple of times? Think again! In 2020 – 2023, about 39.7% of applicants who took the DMV written test failed it on their first attempt.

We want to make sure that you pass on your first try. We’ve created various study tools, including a series of practice tests. This is the second of our five Nebraska Permit Practice Tests. These practice tests are up to date as of November 2025 and based on the official Nebraska driver’s manual. All practice questions are multiple choice. You must choose the best or most complete answer for each question.

As you take this practice test, you can call on our AI Assistant for help with any question. You can ask it to give you a hint or explain the question in greater depth. You can also ask your own questions about driving. Watch the Progress Bar to track your score as you go through the test. When you answer a question correctly, the question number will turn green. If you miss the question, the question number will turn red, and the AI Assistant will give you the correct answer and an explanation.

Please also read our Nebraska DMV Permit Test Study Guide. It lists things you should do as your exam day approaches. It covers how to prepare your mind and body to ace the written knowledge test, what documents to have with you, what fees you may have to pay, and other last-minute tips.
