AK CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test 4 2026
Original questions by our teamBased on 2026 AK CDL Handbook
5 min
The “T” endorsement authorizes you to operate Longer Combination Vehicles (LCVs), which are combination vehicles consisting of a tractor and two or three trailers. This job requires precision and carries greater responsibility, and that’s why LCV drivers often take home higher pay. Once added to your Class A CDL, this endorsement stays on your license permanently. In Alaska, pulling triples is only allowed on select designated routes and possibly only at certain times of the year. However, major carriers like FedEx and UPS primarily use doubles. They seek commercial drivers qualified to drive LCVs, so it’s a good idea to add the “T” endorsement to your CDL.
The official Doubles and Triples Knowledge Exam includes multiple-choice questions. After you pay the endorsement fee, you’ll take this exam at a DMV office. Scoring 80% or higher will grant you the “T” endorsement, giving you access to additional driving jobs and career paths.
