In Arizona's points system, DUI, aggressive driving, reckless driving, and racing on public roads each carry eight points. Leaving the scene of an accident carries six points. Note, however, that these are all criminal offenses. If you are convicted of any of them, you may face fines and jail time in addition to the points added to your driving record. Under Arizona law, you may pass a vehicle on the right when 1) the vehicle is making or about to make a left turn; or 2) there are two or more lanes of traffic going in the same direction as you are. (This can be the case on a multilane roadway or a one-way street.) A left-turn lane is used only for making left turns (and U-turns where permitted). [ARS § 28-724]
